Table of Contents

Step 1: Determine Your Niche and Audience

Before you do anything else, figure out who you want to help and how. The more specific you can be, the better. Instead of “I’m a business coach,” get clear on your niche:

  • Are you helping first-time entrepreneurs launch their businesses?
  • Are you working with established founders to scale their revenue?
  • Do you focus on a particular industry or challenge, like creative businesses or marketing strategy?

The clearer you are about your audience, the easier it will be to create packages that speak to their needs and attract the right clients. Remember, trying to coach everyone will only make your job harder!

Step 2: Map Out Your Business Coaching Packages

Now it’s time to figure out what you’ll include in your coaching packages. Do you want to offer one package or multiple tiers? Here’s the thing: people love options. With tools like MemberSpace, you can easily sell your content across multiple tiers to fit different needs and budgets.

Here’s an example of how you could structure your tiers:

  • Basic Tier: Includes downloadable templates, guides, and access to a private community of other entrepreneurs
  • Middle Tier: Everything in the Basic Tier, plus monthly live workshops for deeper dives.
  • Premium Tier: Everything in the Middle Tier, plus personalized weekly action plans, progress reports, and video recordings of 1:1 coaching sessions.

✨ Want to learn how to set up business coaching packages like these? Join our free 1:1 Personalized Memberships Workshop, where we break it all down step by step. You’ll leave with the tools to create coaching packages that feel totally custom (but are easy to manage).

Step 3: Add Your Coaching Content to Your Website

Once you’ve mapped out your packages, it’s time to get your content online. Add each of your resources to pages on your website, so your clients can easily access them. For example, you might put all of your templates on a page like yoursite.com/clients/templates and all of your workshops on a page like yoursite.com/clients/workshops.

If you’re offering personalized content to your clients, like weekly action plans, progress reports, or coaching session notes, you’ll need to create individual pages for each of those clients.  Those URLs might look something like this: yoursite.com/clients/john-doe.

Don’t stress about who gets access to each page just yet—we’ll handle that next.

An example of a personalized coaching membership page

Step 4: Lock Your Pages with MemberSpace

Now that your content is ready, it’s time to make sure only the right clients can access it. MemberSpace makes this super simple.

All you have to do is:

  1. Create a new Product for each of your coaching resource pages. If you’re offering personalized content, you’ll create a new Product for each client and name it after them.
  2. Add the URLs of your client-only pages to your MemberSpace account (i.e. yoursite.com/clients/templates, yoursite.com/clients/workshops, yoursite.com/clients/john-doe/, etc). This will lock them so clients will need to sign up and login to access your content.

business coaching package

Next, we’ll create plans for each coaching package, as well as for personalized memberships, which will allow clients to get access to the right content!

Step 5: Create Pricing Plans

Your coaching pricing needs to work for both your clients and  your business. MemberSpace gives you the flexibility to create as many plans as you want, so you can tailor them to your coaching offers.

Here are some options to consider:

  • Recurring Subscriptions: Perfect for ongoing coaching relationships.
  • One-Time Payments: Great for standalone services, like a single strategy session or audit.
  • Installment Plans: Ideal for high-ticket packages, letting clients pay over time.
  • Free Plans: A clever way to let potential clients try your services before committing.

If you’re offering personalized content in one of your tiers, you’ll need to create individual plans for those clients to ensure they’re paying for access to their personalized coaching materials.

Selling coaching services

Step 6: Add signup links to your website for each of your packages

Once you set up your coaching plans, you’ll get signup links that you can add to CTA buttons on your website (your homepage, a sales page, etc).  When someone clicks the link, they will be prompted to signup and pay for that tier, and will instantly be granted access to the corresponding content!

If you’re offering personalized content to any of your clients, you’ll need to send them an email with their personalized signup link. This will ensure only they are able to signup for the plan that grants access to their unique client page.

Tips for Launching and Maintaining Your Business Coaching Packages

  1. Start Simple and Launch Quickly
Don’t overthink it—focus on your core offer and get it out there. You can always add more products or features later, like group coaching or a content library, as your business grows.

  2. Gather Feedback to Improve
Early clients are invaluable for refining your packages. Ask them what’s working, what’s missing, and how you can improve. If you notice recurring challenges, create resources or tools to address them for future clients.

  3. Balance Personalization with Efficiency

Personalized coaching is powerful but time-consuming. Simplify your process by creating reusable templates that you can customize for each client, like goal-setting trackers or progress reports.

  4. Keep Experimenting
Stay flexible and open to trying new ideas. Test what resonates most with your clients and refine your offerings based on what delivers the most value.

  5. Scale Over Time

As your business grows, consider adding generalized content or group options to serve more clients without overloading yourself. Think resource libraries, newsletters, or live group sessions to complement your 1:1 coaching.

Final Thoughts

By following these steps—and using tools like MemberSpace—you can create packages that feel personal, professional, and easy to manage.

In this post, I’ll walk you through some of the best strategies to make money as a nutritionist, whether you’re just starting or looking to scale your existing practice.

Make Money as a Nutritionist!

The easiest way to accept membership payments or one-time charges for digital products like online courses, communities, content libraries, and more — all from your own website!

Get started for free! 5 minutes to set up.

Table of Contents

1. Offer a Content Library

One of the best ways to start making money as a nutritionist is by creating a content library. This can include digital products like:

  • Nutrition templates
  • Guides
  • Personalized meal plans
  • Videos

Clients love having on-demand resources they can access anytime. It’s a win-win because they get practical tools, and you get to offer a product that sells while you sleep. Plus, once it’s set up, it requires little ongoing effort.

2. Launch an Online Course

Another excellent way to earn is by launching an online course. You could create courses that cover topics like meal prep, weight management, or specific diets like keto or plant-based nutrition. These courses allow you to:

  • Reach a global audience
  • Generate passive income
  • Build your authority in your niche

3. Offer 1:1 Coaching or Group Programs

If you prefer more personalized interaction, consider offering 1-on-1 nutrition coaching or group programs. Many people are willing to pay for tailored advice and guidance. You could provide things like:

  • Weekly meal plans
  • Fitness advice
  • Accountability check-ins

With tools like Zoom, you can coach clients from anywhere, expanding your reach beyond just your local area.

5. Create eBooks and Downloadable Guides

Another great way to make money as a nutritionist is by repurposing the content you’ve already created into eBooks or downloadable guides. For example, you can take your blog posts, meal plans, or video lessons and package them into a comprehensive resource. These could include:

  • Step-by-step guides on specific diets
  • Recipe collections
  • Customizable meal planning templates

By selling these eBooks and guides on your website, you provide valuable resources to your clients while creating an additional stream of income with content you’ve already invested time in.

Final Thoughts

How to Start an Online Nutrition Coaching Business – 4 Tips from a Registered Dietitian https://www.memberspace.com/blog/how-to-start-an-online-nutrition-coaching-business/ Thu, 15 Aug 2024 19:53:31 +0000 https://www.memberspace.com/?p=6646

Are you a nutrition coach or dietitian looking to grow your business online? Let’s take a look at how Brittyn, the founder of the Nourishing Autism Collective, turned her passion for helping families into a thriving membership site that made $60k last year —and how you can follow in her footsteps and start your own online nutrition coaching business

Start your online nutrition coaching business!

The easiest way to accept membership payments or one-time charges for digital products like online courses, communities, content libraries, and more — all from your own website!

Table of Contents

1. Offer free, valuable resources

Brittyn knew that to attract her ideal audience, she needed to offer something valuable upfront. So, she created a free 10-page guide that helps parents get started with nutrition tailored to their child’s needs. She also added a free quiz to her website, which helps parents identify their child’s nutritional challenges. These resources were a natural lead-in to her paid membership, where she offers more in-depth support.

2. Share your expertise through podcasting

To establish herself as an authority in the field, Brittyn started a podcast focused on common challenges her target audience faces. Each episode dives deep into specific topics like managing picky eating or improving digestion for children with autism. By sharing actionable tips and real-world advice, she not only educates her audience but also subtly promotes her membership site. The podcast becomes a platform for potential clients to get to know her, trust her expertise, and eventually consider her paid services.

3. Keep your audience engaged with a newsletter

Brittyn also launched a weekly newsletter to maintain regular contact with her audience. In her newsletters, she shares bite-sized nutrition tips, updates on upcoming events, and exclusive offers only available to subscribers. This consistent communication helps keep her audience engaged and continually reminds them of the value she offers. Over time, this nurturing approach guides her subscribers toward exploring her paid membership for more personalized support.

4. Build trust on social media

Brittyn uses Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube to share free advice and tips on navigating challenges like picky eating. By giving away helpful content, she built trust and a strong community that relies on her expertise.

So, how can you replicate Brittyn’s success and set up your own online nutrition coaching business? Here’s a simple guide to get you started:

How to set up your own online nutrition coaching business

1. Create your digital products

First, decide what digital products you want to offer. This could be online courses, guides, an eBooks, a video library, or any content that provides value to your audience.

Nourishing Autism Membership
Brittyn's membership includes a variety of digital products, like live support calls, nutrition roadmaps, guest expert speakers, a nutrition library, a private community, and recipes.

2. Convert your website into a membership site

Use a tool like MemberSpace to turn your existing website into a membership site, which makes it easy to manage members, payments, and access to your content.

3. Add your digital products to pages on your website

Once your digital products are ready, add them to pages on your website. Then, lock access to these pages using MemberSpace. You can do this by simply adding the URLs for those pages to MemberSpace.

4. Set up your pricing

Decide how you want to charge for your content. You can choose from recurring payments (like a monthly membership), a one-time payment, or even offer some content for free.

5. Add signup links to your website

Finally, copy the signup link from MemberSpace and add it to the call-to-action buttons on your website. When someone clicks the link, a form will pop up requiring them to sign up and pay for access to your content.

Final Thoughts

By following these steps, you can start building a profitable online nutrition coaching business just like Brittyn’s. Whether you’re just starting or looking to scale, these strategies can help you attract, educate, and convert your audience into paying clients.

How to Start a Coaching Business Online – 6 Steps to Launch Yours in 48 Hours! https://www.memberspace.com/blog/how-to-start-a-coaching-business-online/ Mon, 04 Dec 2023 18:10:36 +0000 https://www.memberspace.com/?p=4590

Are you an expert wanting to create an online coaching business and mentor others to achieve the success you’ve gotten? Whether you’re a career coach, health coach, life coach, fitness coach, or something else, we’ll walk you through how to start making an impact (and income) in under 48 hours by sharing your knowledge.

Let’s take a look at this six-step framework that covers how to start a coaching business online with the help of MemberSpace, starting with a coaching roadmap!

Launch your coaching business in 48 hours!

The easiest way to accept membership payments or one-time charges for digital products like online courses, communities, content libraries, and more — all from your own website!

Get started for free! 5 minutes to set up.

Table of Contents

Step 1: Map out what you’ll teach as a coach

Start by thinking about the specific transformation your coaching will offer clients. Ask yourself:

  • What is the “before” and “after” when people work with me?
  • What tangible outcomes, levels of freedom, or measures of success will my clients experience?
  • What methodology, frameworks, or processes do I leverage that produces these results?

You’ll also need to decide what format(s) you’ll be using for your coaching materials:

Finally, outline the roles you will play for your students – accountability partner, teacher, mastermind facilitator, sounding board, strategist, etc.

Step 2: Showcase your coaching services with a website

Now it’s time to create a website that establishes your credibility and allows prospects to learn about your business, contact you, and purchase your coaching services.

We recommend starting simple – launch fast with an easy-to-use website builder like Squarespace so you can get up and running quickly. No need to worry about a complex setup right now. Focus on a clean, professional design that you can build on later.

Check out these website examples for some inspiration from established coaching businesses from MemberSpace customers:

Step 3: Get payment processing in place

To sell your coaching services — whether it’s 1:1 sessions, membership site access, online courses, private communities, or all of the above!  you need to be able to accept payments easily and securely.

MemberSpace equips you to do this right on your website with a built-in Stripe integration. Plus, it gives you recurring payment capabilities for subscriptions and makes it easy to unlock access to gated content on your site when someone purchases one of your coaching products.

To get set up, all you need to do is sign up for a free Memberspace account and click on the Connect your Stripe account button.

How to start a coaching business online and get paid

Step 4: Gate access to your coaching content

Next, go ahead and upload any training content and materials to pages on your website that your clients will receive access to once they sign up for your coaching services. This might be video tutorials, downloadable guides, your private online community platform, etc.

Using MemberSpace, you can instantly put all of that exclusive content behind a paywall that protects it from public view. Clients have to create an account and purchase access in order to view it and participate.

Here’s a peek at how this works from the MemberSpace dashboard:

Step 5: Price your coaching services

One of the keys to selling your coaching services is having the right payment structure and pricing model dialed in from the start.

With MemberSpace, you have flexibility when it comes to how you’ll accept payments based on what works best for your business:

  • Memberships: You can offer monthly or annual access to your full library of coaching content. For example, an all-access pass to your videos, community platform, etc.
  • One-time payments: Allow customers to purchase access to individual coaching sessions, classes, or digital downloads.
  • Installments: For higher priced programs, you can break up payments over time to increase affordability.
  • Free content: MemberSpace enables you to seamlessly add freebies to your site, like a 101 training or intro course to attract leads.

Step 6: Spread the word about your coaching services

Your coaching business is established, now it’s time to spread the word so you can start helping people!

Here are some effective strategies for marketing your coaching services:

  • Write a blog post with beginner tips related to what you coach on.
  • Make simple shareable social media posts announcing your new coaching business and offerings.
  • Share snippets of a coaching tutorial on TikTok or YouTube Shorts.
  • Offer lead magnets like free courses or ebooks to attract new email subscribers.
  • Start a referral program to motivate existing connections to spread the word.
  • Be a guest on podcasts related to your niche.

Start with just two or three of these ideas and see what works for your target audience. Then expand what’s working!

Final Thoughts

With some thoughtful planning, the right tools like MemberSpace, and a focus on serving your clients, you can get an online coaching business up and running in less than 48 hours. And most importantly, keep your ideal client and their transformation top of mind – their success is your success!

If you have any questions or need help getting started, don’t hesitate to reach out to our friendly team or check out the free resources in MemberSpace University.
